Mizoram Shines at All India Junior National Badminton Tournament 2025!

The Mizoram Badminton Association (MBA) proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to H. Lalthazuala, s/o H. Zohmangaiha, Chanmari West, Aizawl for his outstanding achievement in winning the U-19 Boys’ Singles title at the Yonex-Sunrise All India Junior National Badminton Tournament 2025, held in Panchkula, Haryana.

Lalthazuala, a promising young talent from Mizoram, is currently undergoing advanced training at the prestigious Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy (PGBA), Hyderabad, fully sponsored by TATA Trusts in collaboration with NEIDA, PGBA, Mizoram State Sports Council (MSSC), and Mizoram Badminton Association. His remarkable performance is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and dedication he has consistently shown, and it marks a proud moment for Mizoram's sporting community.

In the same tournament, C. Lalramsanga, s/o C. Lungmuanpuia, Durtlang, Aizawl delivered an equally commendable performance, clinching two silver medals in the U-19 Mixed Doubles and U-19 Boys’ Doubles categories. Meanwhile, Lalrempuii, d/o Albert Lalrosanga (L), Serchhip secured a bronze medal in the U-19 Girls’ Doubles category, further highlighting the growing excellence of badminton players from Mizoram on the national stage.

Both Ramsanga and Rempuii are former trainees under PGBA, having been supported through the same Tata Trusts-sponsored program. They are now currently training at the National Centre of Excellence, continuing their journey of development and pursuit of excellence at the highest levels of the sport.

The Mizoram Badminton Association deeply appreciates the continued support and collaboration from Tata Trusts, NEIDA, PGBA, MSSC, and all stakeholders involved in nurturing these young talents.
